The chiefs just won the super bowl with a rookie 7th round RB. Shut up ekeler. 25 years ago it was hard to win without a top tier RB. The patriots had 1 pro bowl RB since 2000. I think they did okay.

100% agree with you man. I wanted to include Ekeler's tweets and comments just to provide some depth to the story, but I definitely disagree with him. It isn't "tough" to win without a top RB: it's tough to win WITH a top RB. The last team to win a Super Bowl with a star RB was the 2014 Seahawks, and they had the literal Legion of Boom to help them.

Last team with a pro bowl RB and a super bowl was 99 marshal faulk. And that what I would say was the "last gasp" for the "feature back" of the 90's era. You overpay a RB.....itll bite you.
